Phillip Carter
Group Chief Executive
|
Phillip Carter founded Carter & Carter Limited in 1992, since which time he has driven the Group’s substantial growth both in the UK and overseas and has overseen the acquisition and successful integration of the EMTEC business. Prior to establishing Carter & Carter Limited, he worked in a number of sales and marketing roles at ICI before becoming European Business Development Manager of the Paints Division.

David Carter
Managing Director, Outsource Services |
David is an internationally experienced general manager with outstanding skills
in developing strategies for customer service and retention, sales and profit
improvement. A highly esteemed and respected individual within the automotive
industry, he has almost 40 years of experience having worked with the Volkswagen
Group UK, Ford and Lucas.

Robert Goodwin –
Managing Director, Apprenticeship Learning |
Robert Goodwin joined EMTEC in 1990 and following its acquisition by Carter
& Carter was appointed managing director of the apprenticeship learning
division. He is responsible for managing the financial and operational aspects
of the apprenticeship learning division along with Government relationships
and funding. Prior to joining EMTEC, he worked as a civil servant for nearly
30 years at senior national, regional and local levels, operating in the fields
of Government policy on employment measures, particularly training and education.

Julie Pomeroy
Group Finance Director

Julie is a chartered accountant with both tax and treasury qualifications. Prior
to joining Carter and Carter, Julie was chief financial officer of Weston Medical
Group plc, where she was actively involved in the company's flotation in May 2000.
Before this Julie was director of corporate finance with East Midlands Electricity
plc, where she was involved in merger and acquisition activities, as well as responsible
for tax and treasury matters. Julie holds a degree in physics from Birmingham
University, UK.

Rod Castle
Director of Group Strategy and Planning

With his strong marketing and people development background, Rod is an experienced manager with a high profile and reputation within the industry. Rod has been instrumental in building both the UK and US organisations and has most recently managed the global operations of the business. He is now bringing this wealth of Carter & Carter experience to his new role responsible for group strategy and planning.

Adrian Smith
Non-Executive Chairman

Adrian was born in Liverpool and studied law before joining Procter & Gamble where he spent 13 years. Adrian was then appointed as vice president, Europe for Ecolab Inc, before relocating with them to the USA in 1981. Adrian has supervised subsidiary operations in Asia, the Americas and also Europe. Adrian subsequently held a senior position at Arthur Andersen before becoming the CEO of Grant Thornton LLP. He has recently retired from Deloitte where he was the global managing partner for marketing and communication. He is also on the board of the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution in Florida.

Michael Davy
Non-Executive Director

Michael is a director of Bridgepoint Capital, based in London. He has an engineering
degree from Cambridge University and an MBA from London Business School. From
1986 to 1989 he worked as a management consultant on business strategy assignments
with Arthur D Little. Michael joined Bridgepoint in 1989 and is currently a non-executive
director of Carter & Carter, Lynx Express, Walter Hexagon and Protocol.
